The world is not as solid as you may have been led to believe by your ignorant teachings throughout your life. While you might only see and acknowledge the physical manifestations of the people and things around you, you actually dwell in a much larger world. In this world, there are actually a total of seven different planes of existence, of which you have likely only experienced one, or maybe two for those of you who are sensitive of spirit. The following posts will act as your guide on your journey of discovery of the greater space around you.

Physical – First is that which you are most familiar with, the physical plane. This is home to all that you can touch and see, and where you spend most, if not all of your mortal life. Here the spiritual form is vital, and the most dense of all seven planes. Beings exist as individual entities, unable to connect with one another on the most fundamental levels. Many find it hard to shed their mortal shell, and ascend to higher levels of existence, but the process is highly rewarding, and spiritually enriching.
Astral – Next in line is the astral plane, which is formed of the emotional energy shared between us all. This is where spirits leave to directly after their death and departure from the physical plane of existence. Many supernatural and spiritual events that we witness here on the physical plane are brought about by our spirit neighbors reaching through to the physical world from the astral plane. However, this is incredibly difficult, making these events quite rare, and often invisible to the untrained eye. With training in the arts of meditation and mental control, it is possible to project oneself onto the Astral plane, and experience the flood of spiritual and emotional energy. I’m proud to say that I have been able to reach the lower Astral plane through lucid dreaming exercising!
Causal – After this comes the causal plane, which lay the very framework for the world. Here, a spirit grasps the workings and mechanics of the inner planes, and become one with causality. With an understanding of how things work, the spirits here shape the future of the known world of the Physical and Astral Planes.
Neutral – The neutral plane acts as the gateway between the shackles of individuality suffered in the inner planes, and the glorious, beautiful oneness that awaits us all. Here, spirits are granted access to the Akashic record, a telling of all that was, or will ever be. They begin to see what is in store for them, and start to grasp at the fundamental truths of the universe.
Mental – On the mental plane, the spirit merges with the knowledge of the Akashic record, contributing all that they have ever known to this great cache in exchange for eternal comprehension, and a glimpse at the secrets of the universe.
Messianic – Only at this stage can a spirit even begin to comprehend the extent of its journey. One begins to understand the interconnected nature of all things, and feel the inherent and enveloping love between all beings. Though, at this point, it is ridiculous to think of one as an individual anymore, as the deep emotional and mental connections have bonded one with all they have experienced.
Buddhaic – At this point a spirit has completed its journey and is no longer an individual. All traces of what it once was vanish, as it embraces an unthinkable and unknowable transcendental oneness with everything. All that was, all that is, and all that will be.

These seven planes listed above are done so in a very deliberate manner. After shedding one’s mortal coil, the spirit begins its journey throughout all seven planes of existence, naturally flowing from countless singular points into a great, all knowing and loving unity. However, this flow is only meant to progress in one direction, making it incredibly hard for a being on one plane to make it onto the previous. This is why we do not often see the ghosts of the long dead walking among us. As one might guess, many who die attempt to make it back to the physical world, but find it impossible without a strong tether. This is why one is able to astrally project safely, as the living body acts as a tether to the physical plane, allowing the spirit to find its way back to where it belongs. The only other instances of astral activity on the physical plane is through rifts between these planes. If for whatever reason a certain location has a weak boundary between the physical and astral planes, spiritual activity is possible.

It’s incredibly likely that this is what happened to Arthur. He may have stumbled upon a spot where the rift between planes ran thin, and was taken away… However, this sounds insane, as the amount of spiritual energy required to evaporate his physical form must be phenominal! I certainly hope that we can stand up to whatever it is that did this to him, and are able to muster up enough energy, or a strong enough tether to pull him in his entirety back into our world…
