Managed to get the book away from Plaid! I'll post pictures soon. Basically our theory that Plaid was taken over by the spirit seems accurate. He is going to force Phillips spirit out of Phillips body, so that the spirit is the sole resident. He says Phillips spirit will be completely forced out by tomorrow sundown. We need to get the doll (the spirits tether) to save Phillip. Phillip is a good guy. We are going to save him.
The book says USQWHQETQUAZRZ is the encoded location of the doll. There is a key but I can't figure it out.
The spirit has some interesting motives. Hates the idea of death and is fighting against the laws of the universe to get his life back. Pictures soon.

The key is clearly ROT but none of the basic 25 rotations make any sense
